Conference 2008

The first international conference on the topic of hot sheet metal forming of high-performance steel took place on October 22–24, 2008 in Kassel, Germany. Over 240 participants from 20 countries attended this conference which was accommodated at Grand Hotel Lastrada. The great success of this first international conference surprised even the organizer himself. The four main topics of the sessions were materials, modelling and simulation, products and process design. Over 36 very interesting scientific presentations were held during the 2 conference days. Furthermore, a very interesting technical tour to the press hardening lines of Volkswagen AG in Baunatal, Germany was also offered.

Of course, this conference is the first of a conference series which will be held alternately between Kassel, Germany and Luleå, Sweden.
